Dr. Stephen Nicolaidis, MD, FRCS(C), FACS

Assistant Professor of Surgery at University of Montreal

Presentation: What's New in Breast Implant Safety Since the Summit 2020.

Biography:

Dr. Stephen Nicolaidis completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at McGill University, following which he did fellowships at University of Miami and Baylor College of Medicine. He began his career in New York at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine as an assistant professor before his return home following the events of 9/11. He has worked at University of Montreal as an assistant clinical professor ever since, opening his private office Contour Clinic in 2006. He has been board-certified in both Canada and the United States.

 

Dr. Nicolaidis began explantating in 2017 and stopped implanting in May 2021. The information for this presentation was gathered in order to help patients in their decision-making process regarding explantation. It is the first prospective study of its kind and will be presented at next week’s ASPS meeting in Boston.
